Maureen Long, PhD
President
With twenty years' experience in project management and administration, Maureen leads TPM with a commitment to client satisfaction, exceeding expectations in all deliverables. Her focus on building systems designed with adaptability and efficiency at their core underpins TPM's ability to respond to diverse and often difficult landscapes common in crisis situations. In both administration and operations, Maureen ensures that TPM is prepared to respond to all types of emergencies quickly with the highest industry standards for safety while utilizing best practices in post-disaster response for natural and human resource crises.
James Pirtle

James specializes in solving complex problems quickly. With nearly thirty years' experience in emergency services, ranging from HAZMAT to marine salvage, he brings a wealth of experience to any situation.

His firsthand global response experience includes:

Hurricanes: spill containment, search and recovery, vessel rescue (Ivan (2004) Grenada; Katrina (2005) New Orleans)

Earthquakes: Situational assessment, emergency evaluation of on and offshore structures structures, port operations, and safety of harbor & heavy cranes (Haiti (2010))

Typhoons: Marine salvage operations (Djibouti, 1999)

Laura Dean-Shapiro, MA, MSIM
Director of Evaluation and Training
​
Laura has spent the last fifteen years working with organizations and governmental agencies to understand, and evaluate their operational design & strategy, implement human-centered learning, and communicate through crises. Using cross-sectional approaches to evaluation, she helps clients examine, reflect and refine programs and initiatives including evacuation protocols for vulnerable populations. She has trained professionals across the globe remotely and in-person on topics including step-process implementation, programmatic impact, and meaningful corporate social responsibility. She holds Masters degrees in both Sociology and International Management, enabling her to understand the complexities inherent for each community and situation while protecting the bottom line for every client.
